The difference between our 72” CTA Plow Upgrade kit and our 72” CTA Extreme Duty Kit are as follows;

The Extreme Duty Kit uses

1. UHMW mounting bars instead of steel, which are corrosion free.

2. Marine grade Stainless Steel Hardware which is highly corrosion resistant.

3. Offers an additional plow edge cleaning strip to increase the removal of moisture from the pavement.

This SBS Extreme Duty Kit fits the CTA Front End Loader Mounted 72” Plow. This kit is specifically designed for use where

• The operators desire to prevent surface abrasion to the pavement which comes from using steel plow edges.

• Snow melt chemicals are frequently in use to melt snow and ice on any pavement surface.

• These needs are often found at Assisted Living facilities, Medical centers, Municipal buildings, Schools, Colleges, Airports, etc. places with frequent pedestrian foot traffic.

• Also used by HOA’s and in residential settings where the pavement requires frequent snow melt due to the terrain of hills and slopes and the use of snow melt products.

• Our Extreme Duty Kit is designed to enhance this plows performance, while providing components which are highly corrosion resistant or corrosion free.

• Our SBS Extreme Duty Kit also protects your pavement in the process against surface abrasion caused by using a steel plow edge.

Plow Rubber Edge, Mounting Strap and Hardware

The kit is custom built to each users specific needs. We start the process by asking a series of questions about the equipment used, the pavement and its condition, the terrain, which snow melt chemicals are used and other questions, to create the optimal solution for your plow. Each Kit will include the following;

• A custom made rubber plow edge between 1” and 1.75” thick, purpose built to your snow clearing needs.

• The edge is reversible to provide double the wear life.

• It also includes the ability to adjust the edge to assure the best snow clearing results.

• Securely held to the plow with a custom machined Heavy Duty UHMW mounting straps, which are corrosion free

• Mounted with Marine Grade Stainless Hardware to prevent any hardware corrosion. This also assures future adjustments or reversing the plow wear edge is easier without fighting rust or corrosion on the hardware.

.Our Extreme Duty Plow Upgrade Kits are specifically designed to

• Clear the pavement to reduces the chance of ice forming

• Reduce the volume of snow melt chemicals needed to keep the pavement clear.

• Eliminate the banging noise when using a plow with a steel edge. This is ideal around assisted living facilities, hospitals and similar “quiet” areas.

• Protect the pavement against surface damage from abrasion

• Allow vertical plow edge adjustment in increments to get the best use of the plow edge.

Plow Top Flap, Mounting Strap and Hardware

Our plow top flap kit is the next step in enhancing your plow’s total performance. A well designed and constructed plow top flap helps achieve the following advantages;

• It keeps the snow off the operator on open station equipment for maximum visibility and to help remain more comfortable.

• For those clearing snow with a cabbed machine, the top flap keeps the windshield clear and visibility better for your snow clearing activities.

• The top flap rolls the snow ahead of the plow for improved clearing efficiency*.

• The top flap also can throw the snow off the end of the angled moldboard more effectively*, which helps to keep the snow banks further back from the plowing surface.

• Those who have plowed with a top flap on their plows, generally always use a top flap in the future it enhances the plows operation and function.

Our plow top flap is custom built for this plow, to make installation a breeze. The mounting holes are all laser cut and the UHMW top flap mounting strap is laser cut to accept special corrosion resistant hardware with flange lock nuts .

Our Extreme Duty plow kit includes everything needed to install the custom rubber edge on the plow as well as the plow’s top flap. This is a Top Quality commercial grade kit, designed to provide seasons of reliable performance for your CTA Front End Loader mounted plow. All parts described above are included in this kit, making it a complete upgrade kit for your plow.

The CTA Plow shown in our photos has the UHMW mounting straps but with a single layer edge since it is a smaller width plow.
