This is the basic front steel multi piece steel clamping strap which is available for the 54” and 60” Deere Front Quick Hitch Plow. We offer this mild steel strap as an option for plow owners who are looking for a basic metal strap to either secure the rubber edge or the UHMW edge on their plow or replace a clamping strap which has been lost or damaged. .

Please note, there is an important difference in a Front Plow “Clamping Strap” and a Steel front plow edge. This is the difference which is crucial to keep in mind when considering these products.

• Clamping Straps are designed to hold either the rubber or the UHMW plastic edges on the Deere plows.

• Clamping Straps are not intended to be used to scrape the pavement for snow clearing.

• Steel Plow Edges are specifically made to scrape the pavement and remove snow and ice.

• Steel Plow Edges are thicker, heavier and more robust to scrape snow and ice from the pavement

• The Steel Plow Edges can be used to secure rubber or UHMW plow edges as they are strong enough for the pavement clearing tasks as well as being used to clamp the plow edges to the plow.

• Using a Clamping Strap to clean the pavement directly will hasten its wear as they are mild steel and thinner than Steel Plow Edges.

• Clamping Straps are less costly than Steel Plow Edges because they are lighter steel which is thinner and thereby less costly to produce.

• We STRONGLY encourage you to use Clamping Straps to hold rubber or UHMW plow edges on Deere Plows.

• We STRONGLY encourage you to use Steel Plow Edges to clean the pavement of snow and ice.

• If you use a Clamping Strap for pavement clearing, its going to wear out quickly and require replacement sooner.

If you need a steel plow edge, please order from our plow edge listing section. Those edges are made to be used for pavement cleaning. This edge is for securing either rubber or UHMW to the plow moldboard.

• This product is 2” tall, either 54” or 60” long and 1/8” thick.

• Made from mild steel, the mounting holes are cut into the strap with square holes to hold carriage bolt shanks.

• Painted black, this strap is cut into 2 or 3 sections to make shipping costs as low as possible, to keep this products price low.

• The 54” Strap ships with (10) 5/16” x 2” carriage bolts, flange lock nuts and flat washers which are corrosion resistant.

• The 60” Strap ships with (12) 5/16” x 2” carriage bolts, flange lock nuts and flat washers which are corrosion resistant.

• Clamping Straps are Not sold to be used as a plow edge for pavement clearing. This is a clamping strap to hold the rubber or UHMW plow edge material under it, to the plow moldboard.
