The bracket is holds is used to mount the PTO shaft carrier bearings for the implements using the PTO, Otherwise the bracket is the same, just without the bearing assembly.

This bracket is also what supports the front Quick Tach Hitch out in front of the tractor. Without this bracket installed, there is no way tonstall the front snow plow blade or the front snowblower or rotary broom.

Please make sure to check the Deere parts book to make sure this is used on your tractor. While this is used on over 58 Deere model configurations, you need to confirm its used on your tractor. Some of the machines which this rod is used on include the following;

Deere 1023E, 1025R, 1026R, Gen 1 and Gen 2 2025R, Deere models 2305, 2310, 2320, 2520, 2720, x950, etc. Please make sure to check the Deere parts book for your machines specific applications.

This is the long rod / pin which holds the front main bracket under the tractor between the frame rails on over 20 different Deere tractor models. This rod has to be removed to take the bracket off the tractor and has to be installed to put the bracket back on the tractor in the fall. As a result, this is the most commonly missing part on the front Quick Tach Hitches used for front Snow Plows, Front Snow Blowers and Front Rotary Brooms. Some model tractors also use this same pin to secure the Mid Mount Mower on older model tractors.

Please note, there are similar pins used on the actual Front Quick Tach hitch, including two through the front hitch frame. The one rod / pin is used to hang the front hitch on the tractor using the bracket bolted to the very end of the front frame. Those rods are different than this one as these stationary rods in the actual Quck Tach Hitch are not removed to install or remove the components. They are stationary rods in the hitch which supports the hitch when hung on the front end of the tractor. Those rods are a different size than this rod.
