• While the UHMW is less severe on pavement surfaces than a steel edge, the UHMW can still cause pavement damage and should be used with extreme care.

Please Be Advised of these Important Details regarding our SBS UHMW Plow Edges

1. These are single length UHMW Plow edges cut to the plow's dimension.

2. All Single wear edge UHMW is 4" tall, and 0.75 to 1" thick with vertical adjustment slots to help get the most out of the edge material.

3. Double edge UHMW material is generally 6" tall and 1.25" thick.

4. All UHMW Edge Material 2" thick is installed as two (2) 1" material layers mounted on the plow together.

5. The thicker the UHMW Edge material the heavier the heavy duty steel mounting strap required to hold the edges properly in place.

6. While the two lengths of 1" thick UHMW are mounted on the plow one on top of the other, they are one length on the plow blade. The seam between the two layers of edge material becomes irrelevant due to the lengths being mounted one of top of the other.

7. The mounting straps to secure the UHMW edge will be machined based upon the plow's width and hardware spread between bolts. The mounting strap for UHMW is often wider and thicker than other straps due to the load on the strap tasked with securing the UHMW edge.
