We are proud to own and use CTA implements. We are equally proud that so many owners of CTA implements turn to us for our rubber plow edges, plow edge kits, top flap kits and complete plow upgrade options for their CTA Plows and Snow Pushers.

We offer two levels of our plow edge rubber and the plow edge kits. These are

Standard Duty - This is the for the residential customer who plows their own driveway and perhaps two or three more. The rubber will last several seasons if used as directed and excessive down pressure is avoided.

Commercial Duty - Are for those CTA owners who use their plow professionally, or for those who plow a share of their neighborhood. Whether its your own driveway and a dozen more, or extensive HOA roads and private pavement, this kit will handle the tasks it faces.

I personally use our Commercial Duty edges on my plow and snow pusher and I am able to get more than 1,000 residential driveways out of my plow edge.*

If you need just the rubber edge to replace the existing rubber edge on your plow, you can order the rubber edge ready to install on your plow. This option is also for those who have the UHMW wear edge on their CTA plow and its held on with the steel plate. Those who have the rubber edge or UHMW edge and desire to switch to a rubber edge, this option is for you. You simply purchase our rubber edge and reuse your plows mounting strap / plate to install the new SBS rubber edge.

and we will ship you the new plow edge and a full set of new corrosion resistant hardware to install your new plow edge. Our Hardware set include Corrosion Resistant Carriage bolts, flat washers and Nylock nuts. This provides new hardware of the correct length for installing your plows new rubber wear edge.

For those who presently do not have a rubber edge on their CTA Plow and you would like a Rubber Edge Kit for your plow, then our Standard Edge Kit is perfect for you. Simply select the size of your CTA Plow and our Standard Rubber edge Kit, and you will receive a complete kit to switch your CTA plow from the UHMW or the steel plow edge to our Rubber Plow Edge.

Our Commercial level products are also available in just the rubber plow edge or in the complete kit, which is for those who are changing their plow from a steel plow edge to the rubber plow edge kit.

Details about our Kits Components

Rubber Edges are all

• Sized to the plow based upon the plow blades width and its operational weight. It’s crucial to make the edge so it works properly with the plow and based upon the machine its on.

• Check our other CTA Listings for the CTA A Frame Plow and see first hand how these edges are made to fit the plow and not simply based upon it’s width.

• Professionally machined for a perfect fit. You will not have to do any modifications, simply open the box and install the kits parts on your plow.

• The rubber edge is machined with vertical and horizontal adjustment for your edge kit. It’s easy to install, easy to align and easy to adjust as you use it. That’s why we include new hardware as who wants to struggle with old rusty bolts? We don’t.

• All of our rubber plow edges which are 6” or taller are double sided and allow for them to flipped over when worn, for an entirely new wear edge. This doubles the life of the rubber plow edge.

• American Sourced Premium Rubber which we have extensively tested for many years.

• This rubber has the ideal balance of durability and strength to clean the pavement well,

• This material weighs nearly double what a major competitor uses for their plow edges. Weight is a good thing in rubber, it means mass, density and strength to get the job done and last.

• Our 60” rubber for this plow at 6” tall and 3/4” thick weighs about 15 pounds. Our competitors weighs 7 pounds.

• I have personally plowed 1,000 residential driveways with my plow edge on my 66” CTA Plow.

• Our Commercial edge in the CTA 60 weighs nearly 26 pounds with the hardware. That’s nearly 4x what competitors rubber weighs, which is very important. Would you want your car tires to be light, or strong and durable? I know my answer……

Our Plow Edge Mounting Straps are made of UHMW

• Mounting Straps are all precision machined and cut on laser controlled water jet machines for precise fit

• We use UHMW because its very strong, very light weight and also doesn’t ever need to be painted or powder coated.

• The UHMW can provide enough flex to avoid damage in many impact situations.

• We square cut the carriage bolt holes to hold the square shanks on the carriage bolts.

• All UHMW straps are cut in half to make installation and shipping easier.

• The UHMW straps are also adjustable in both vertical and horizontal hardware placement.

• All UHMW straps are a black color through the material. They will never rust, corrode or twist. This material is very durable and strong.

Your Edges are shipped in a rolled and shrunk wrapped shape. The shipment contains new hardware, regardless of whether you order new rubber or a kit. We want you to have new hardware to install the rubber even when its replacing an existing rubber edge. The straps, hardware and instructions are included in the box with the other items.

Installation is very easy and takes about 20 to 30 minutes. Make sure when replacing the steel plow edge, to wear gloves as the steel wear edge is heavy and also becomes very sharp from grinding on the pavement.

Add our optional Plow top Flap Kit to enhance the plows performance and reduce its snow clean up in deep snow conditions.

*Make sure to use the proper plow down pressure when clearing snow. I avoid using the “Float” option as it often places more weight on the plow than needed. Control the down force on the plow and the edge will clear snow better, last longer and the tractor will handle as it should.

Just as pushing as hard as possible on a snow shovel doesn’t assure anything but sore arms and a worn our snow shovel, too much down force on the plow just wears out the rubber plow edge and makes the tractor harder to steer.
