They are 50%+ wider so more surface area for greater blower stability.
They are double or even triple the length of some model steel shoes.
The larger the surface area of the shoes, the less pressure on the pavement and the blower. Think of it like this, have you ever walked through snow knee deep with boots on and then walked on the same with snowshoes? The snow shoes floated on the surface and made it easier to move across the surface. Same with our larger blower shoes.
These are double sided so you can flip the shoes over when worn and have an entirely new wear surface to start with.
Tips for easy mounting of these shoes include
Remove the old shoes and bolts
Position the shoes so the bottom sit flat on the pavement
Make sure to check your blowers wear bar first as it likely is worn and needs replacement.
The Blower shoes and Wear Bars should be level to each other.
Use our stainless hardware and flat washers and lock nuts and the mounting holes on the end of the blower which best align with your needs.
Most people mount them in the center of the blower as shown in the pictures with the Yellow Deere Blower
You can mount them forward, as shown on Green Deere blower if you need to use the blower and the pavement and lawn edges aren’t level. Having the shoes forward helps protect the blower side panels from making contact with the pavement.
Sold as Pairs with corrosion resistant hardware.
