The Frontier AF10F plow is one of our most active plow models for customers buying product and also requesting custom suggestions. While our 3 levels of Plow Edge kits provide a diverse product line, if a customer wants something special for their plow, we are glad to make it for them.

Deere Frontier Parts for the Frontier AF10F Plow.

Deere offers a rubber plow edge ONLY under part number 5WP1044563 for the rubber edge as a replacement when the original wears out. The selling price on the rubber edge only is $471.10,. The rubber edge from Deere is 6” tall, 3/4” thick and weighs 7 pounds to ship (according to Deere’s site).

Deere offers the one Rubber Edge Upgrade Kit, to convert the plow from a Steel plow edge to their rubber plow edge. The edge Upgrade kit includes the mounting strap, hardware and the rubber edge. It’s sold under Deere part number 5WD1044513, which Frontier sells for $760.11.

SBS Extreme Duty Rubber Edge, is $495. Entire kit is $695, Use (2) rubber plow edges, (1) 6” tall and 1/2” thick the second (1) 6” tall x 3/4” thick. Total plow rubber thickness is 1.25” and the Combined weight is 24 pounds. Savings is $66 on the kit or about 12% less than the Deere kit. Our Extreme kits ship with a complete set of Marine grade Stainless Steel hardware, the most corrosion resistant hardware available. .

Our kits have been selling very well and we are increasing production to keep them in stock. Our customers are very pleased with our kits fit, finish and function.

Our Standard Kit saves the customer $296, our Heavy Duty Kit and our rubber material is more dense and heavier, so it clears better and lasts longer.

Our Heavy Duty Kit saves the customer $179, provides two rubber plow edges which provide 25% more clearing width which weighing more than double the Deere kit’s rubber product. Its function and wear life is substantially longer than the Deere Frontier kit.

Our Extreme Duty Kit, saves the customer $66 or about 12% of the Deere kits total purchase price. Our Extreme kit has two rubber plow edges which are nearly double the thickness of the Deere rubber edges and 3.25x the weight of the Deere rubber edge.

All of our hardware is either Corrosion resistant coated hardware or Marine Grade Stainless Hardware, which is the most corrosion resistant hardware available.

Exceeded Our Goals while saving the customer money

Our goal was to make plow edge kits to provide a range of options to the different owners of these plows on tractors. Our kits are intended for the following customers;

Standard Kit is our Residential Customer Kit for typical residential use.

Our Heavy Duty Kit is for the customer who plows their own driveway and several more in the neighborhood, Or its for Commercial Snow Clearing operators who are using their plows extensively to clear snow in the winter.

Our Extreme Duty Kit is often sold to either the customer who insists on having the very best there is or the very challenging snow clearing operation. We have sold these AF10F Extreme Duty Kits to Hospitals, School Districts, Municipalities and Medical Centers. Also outside shopping malls and centers who clear snow often and who use extensive amounts of snow melt products, which are very corrosive and damaging to plow and pavement components.

We have also sold several of these Extreme Duty Frontier AF10F Plow Edge Kits to John Deere Dealers. Some were to install on their customers new tractors, some were to offer upgrades from Deere’s offerings which they sold to customers. The value of these kits compared to the Deere Frontier Kit makes these one of our top selling product lines.
