Product Description
This UHMW strap is the 3/4” thick, 2” tall strap to mount the rubber plow edge on your Deere AF plow
We produce this strap and it is shipped in two pieces, with them clearly marked for proper installation. Plows which are 108” and wider have plow rubber edge mounting straps which are in 3 pieces for easier installation and to reduce the oversize shipping charges.
This edge is used to clamp the rubber plow edge to your Frontier Plow. It is not to be used to clear the pavement directly as it is not strong enough nor is it made to be mounted where it can be used on the pavement.
Laser cut for precise fit, this edge uses Carriage Bolts, which are not included when you purchase the UHMW strap. However, there is an option to purchase the hardware sets to install the rubber edge on your plow. You need to purchase the edge rubber from our site under another listing, based upon the plow’s size and model.
Please note, when you purchase the rubber plow edge from us, we include the corrosion resistant hardware with the rubber edge.
If you would like to convert your plow from the steel cutting edge or the UHMW edge, to our rubber plow edge, you should consider our Kit, which includes the precision cut rubber edge, the steel mounting strap and the hardware, to properly convert the plow with an easy to install kit.
These plows are large and heavy. They require the right rubber edge and mounting strap and hardware to properly install on your plow. Our rubber plow edges are made based upon the plows width and weight.
Occasionally, someone insists they will attempt to use their plows steel plow edge blade to secure the rubber edge to their moldboard. This won’t work as the steel plow edge hangs down below the plow moldboard and doesn’t allow the rubber edge to be properly supported on the plow.
Also the steel plow edge is sharp from grinding on the pavement and that sharp edge can damage the new plow rubber. Do not attempt to use the steel plow edge as a rubber plow edge retainer as it usually damages the rubber as well as doesn’t clear the snow properly.
