Moose Plow, 72" Rubber Edge Kit with Steel Strap and Hardware
Kit includes FREE USPS Priority Mail, delivery in the lower 48.
This is a HIGH QUALITY edge which is precision fit, but also made to last many years. This is NOT the imported junk sold on Ebay………with paper thin rubber, cheap hardware, flimsy mounting straps and overall, a abysmal plow edge. This edge is made to last many, years with proper use.
Custom made rubber edge for the Moose plow which measures 4” tall, 1/2” thick, with plug cut mounting holes. Use this plow edge to clear pavement while protecting the pavement against any damage from a steel edge or other abrasive edge materials.
This rubber edge comes with a complete set of coated carriage bolts to make the installation on your plow an easy process. Also, included, is a custom machined, steel mounting strap to hold the plow rubber on the plow.
This kit allows you to remove the steel plow edge on the plow and install the rubber edge, the steel strap included in this kit is the proper width to hold the rubber edge on the plow. This kit works great and makes the installation work smoothly.
You can NOT use the steel plow edge to hold the rubber plow edge onto the plow as the steel plow edge hangs down too far. There are pictures in this listing showing the issues with using the steel plow edge and how the steel strap which we have custom machined solves the mounting clearance issue.
For best results on the 72” Moose Plow, we suggest our kit with the total components to make the installation process easy and to get the best results from the plow with the rubber edge.
If you try to use the steel plow blade for the strap to secure the rubber edge, there isn’t enough clearance under the steel plow edge for the rubber edge to work correctly. Using the custom made steel strap, which is part of this kit, provides the ideal mounting surface and proper clearance for the rubber edge to function correctly.
The mounting holes are plug cut down the center of the rubber edge, to provide you with two complete edges for extended use. When the first side of the edge wears down, you can remove the rubber edge, flip it over and have an extensive wear period for the other half of this new edge. Using this approach provides you the equivalent of two complete rubber wear edges for the cost of one edge.
Our kit provides everything needed to switch from the steel edge to the rubber edge on the 72” Moose Plow. Clean the pavement safely, quietly and without the scraping and banging of the steel plow edge. Those who have switched from the steel edge to the rubber plow edge kit, love the results and are very pleased with the improvement to their Moose Plows performance.
